Our Goal

MuNi KC wants everyone to be able to read the menu, find the bar and get in touch. This site aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What the Site Does

  • The full menu is text, not a picture of a menu, so screen readers and zoom work on it.
  • Every photo has a text description.
  • A skip link on every page jumps past the header to the content.
  • Menus, buttons and the photo carousel work with a keyboard.
  • Every field on the contact and careers forms has a visible label.
  • Pages are built with headings and labeled sections, so screen readers can move through them.
  • Page transitions, the animations and the gallery videos stop when your device is set to reduce motion.
  • The address and hours are written out as text on the contact page, not only on the map.

How It Is Checked

Every page scored 100 for accessibility in Google Lighthouse on phones and computers in October 2026. Automated tests catch only part of what matters, so pages are also checked by hand when content changes.

Known Limits

The gallery videos on the home page play on a loop and have no pause button. The map on the contact page comes from Google Maps, and the links to Instagram and Yelp lead to other companies’ sites. Those services are outside this statement.

Something Not Working?

If any part of this site is hard to use, email Munihospitality@gmail.com. Tell us the page and what happened, and we will get you the information another way and fix the problem. For questions about the restaurant itself, such as the entrance or seating, email the same address before your visit.
